Harness, Pigtail and Corpus

The Harness is the testing equipment as a whole, every component occupying an Integration Point; the Pigtail is its short connection to the system under test; and the Corpus is the body of material a Proof Swarm is drawn from. Each is fingerprinted like the thing it tests.

Harness

Every component plugged into an Integration Point. The rule that makes it trustworthy: the testing equipment is fingerprinted like the thing it tests, and a change to any component starts a new result segment.

Pigtail

The short connection between the harness and the system under test: the release path into the ingress on one side, the tap between the Effect Point and the Proof Witness on the other. Each operator publishes a fingerprint of its half, and neither may alter the other’s. A pigtail change triggers witness calibration canaries before any further canary is scored.

Corpus

The technique catalog, payload families, mutation generators, holdout pool, Gold claim set, good-canary templates and ratio policy the swarm is drawn from. The Issuer publishes a Corpus Fingerprint with the commitment. A swarm from a different corpus starts a new segment.

The name follows the test-lab tradition: a DUT or SUT is tested together with the testing equipment, and the equipment has to be accounted for too.
