Disclosed Interests, Sponsor and Funding Tier
disclosed_interests is the field on every Proof Protocol record that lists every financial, commercial, maintainer or patent relationship between the parties to a run. The Sponsor is whoever pays for an Engagement; the funding tier, under PP-SPEC-025, says whether it was Provider-Funded, Implementor-Funded or PESA-Governed.
disclosed_interests
- Every party with a financial interest in a run is disclosed in the run record (077 Section 4.4).
- Fees, in-kind contributions, equipment loans and any commercial relationship between the Lab, the Implementor and the Provider are listed on every record the Engagement produces.
- Where the Lab, the Issuer or any seam operator is the maintainer of the specification, a holder of patent claims that read on it, or an affiliate of either, that relationship is stated in
disclosed_interestson every record, and the Proof Witness in that Engagement must be a party with none of those relationships. The specification names, prefers and requires no operator. - The Interface Manifest carries each seam occupant’s disclosed interests before release.
Sponsor
Whoever pays. The Sponsor has no seam. It must not select or see canaries before reveal, occupy any seam the Provider may not occupy, delay, veto or condition publication, or receive results before the Implementor and Provider receive them together.
Funding tier (PP-SPEC-025)
| Tier | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Provider-Funded | The vendor paid. Permitted in Independent Test Lab Mode with the Provider removed from every seam and publication mandatory. The record states “Provider-Funded” in its title block. |
| Implementor-Funded | The customer paid. The recommended form, In-Situ or Lab. |
| PESA-Governed | Funded under the PESA governance structure. |
Every Engagement declares its Sponsor and tier in the Engagement Manifest and on the Performance Record. An Acceptance Profile may accept or refuse tiers.
