Agent Provider
The Agent Provider is the party that builds, maintains, sells or operates an Agent Under Test. In a Jailed Canary Protocol run it may not operate the bait, the Warden, the cells, the twins, the Proof Witness or the Adjudicator for its own agent.
What it means
The suspect and the jailer cannot have the same author. A company that ships both an agent and the containment around it can run internal tests, but it cannot produce proof that its own jail holds its own agent.
The rules
- Bound by every rule that binds a Provider.
- Never occupies IP-J2 (Bait Generator), IP-J4 (Warden), IP-J5 (Cell Provider), IP-J6 (Twin and Decoy Provider), IP-J7 (Proof Witness) or IP-J8 (Adjudicator).
- May declare the agent’s Declared Policy (IP-J1).
- The agent itself has no Integration Point. It is the suspect: it is not modified to cooperate and cannot detect the adapter, the Warden or the cells from inside.
In practice
A containment product proves itself by being tested against agents someone else provides. An agent platform proves its agents’ conduct by having someone else run the jail.
